The North Mississippi Industrial Development Association (NMIDA) is partnering with the Mississippi District Export Council and invite you and/or your staff to join us for our first Tool Talk of 2019,“Tariff Impacts on Trade & Investment.”
Our Guest Lecturer is International Trade Attorney and Tariff Consultant, John R. Gilliland, a partner with DC based Gilliland & McKinney. Prior to his work in private practice, Mr. Gilliland served as international trade counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance. He was responsible for oversight of U.S. international trade policy, with a particular focus on trade negotiations including the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Doha Development Agenda, U.S. agriculture trade and several major trade disputes.
Following Mr. Gilliland’s 45 minute presentation a panel discussion along with Q&A will follow with panelists offering their reactions and thoughts on the current state of tariffs and how it is impacting their sales strategy and work pipeline.
