DUTIES (TARIFFS)
A tariff or duty (the words are used interchangeably) is a tax levied by governments on the value including freight and insurance of imported products. Different tariffs are applied on different products by different countries.
Duties can be exempt for temporary imports using an ATA Carnet. Click here for more information.
Below are the two main websites for information about duties. Also consult an importing country's customs website to find out abut exact duties in that country.

World Trade Organization Tariff Data
The WTO website offers sophisticated options for researching members’ customs duty rates and in many cases imports. One, the Tariff Analysis Online, draws on two databases to offer tariff rates on products defined at the highest level of detail, import statistics and the ability to analyze these interactively. Another, the Tariff Download Facility, provides standardized tariff statistics, in slightly less detail but with the ability to compare between countries immediately.
